VISITORS to Clevedon Pier will be able to enjoy a better view thanks to a donation from Cotswold Homes.
The company, which is building 14 new homes in Clevedon, made a 500 contribution toward the cost of upgrading the binoculars at the end of the pier, which allow people to scan the Bristol Channel and Welsh coastline.
In a bid to enhance the experience for visitors, the Clevedon Pier and Heritage Trust also plans to install and welded metal step to allow children to use the binoculars.
An enhanced orientation panel will also be installed to help visitors identify landmarks across the channel and an improved security cover will be fitted.
