COLOURFUL plants have brightened up a Nailsea shopping area thanks to a new gardening business.
The Courtyard Garden Shop has opened in The Courtyard off the town’s High Street and aims to provide a wide variety of products to its customers as well as good advice.
The new shop opened on July 16 and sells a wide selection of plants, tools, fertilisers, weed and pest killers, garden decorations, seeds and bulbs.
The centre is a new branch of the Henleaze Garden Shop in Bristol - a family business owned by Robert Stenner and first established in 1946 by Ernest Stenner - which means that any product not available in Nailsea can be brought in from Henleaze the next day and can even be delivered.
Belinda McCluskey, manager of the Nailsea shop, said: “The courtyard lends itself to putting the plants outside.
“Since opening people have seemed keen to visit us.”
