A NEW charity shop has been set up in Nailsea to raise money for a cat rescue group.
Tracey Bryant, aged 49, has opened up Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue in High Street and is now appealing for people to donate items to sell.
The shop will help fund the charity which was set up by Tracey’s friend Margaret Brittan, from Bristol. The devoted pair look after abandoned cats in their own homes. They also have a website with information on each animal so people can adopt them.
Tracey said: “I’m very excited about opening the new shop. We need to raise funds for the cats.
“We take cats into our own homes, we don’t have a rescue centre. We take any cat, regardless, and we’ve always got a large waiting list.”
The shop is now open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am-5pm.
