A FAMILY-RUN fitness centre in Portishead has doubled in size after taking over the neighbouring premises and creating new facilities.
The hub opened in a unit in Old Mill Road two years ago and since then has attracted hundreds of members keen to use its equipment, take part in its classes and also sign up for personal training sessions.
Owned by husband and wife team Andy and Claire Cleeves, who also live in Portishead, the business has expanded into the next door unit after the wall between the two buildings was knocked down to unveil Crossfit Portishead, a function and combat area including its very own boxing ring.
Claire said: “Portishead has responded very positively to our concept and many members have been so supportive they are regarded as friends and an extension of the hub itself.
“We try very hard to provide support back to the community through regular charity events, our most recent one being in support of a cancer charity. Again, the generosity of our members surpasses our expectations.”
