THE life of the Scottish poet Robert Burns was celebrated by people in Clevedon as they dressed in tartan and enjoyed a filling meal.
A Burns Night event was held at The Hawthorns retirement complex in Elton Road when piper Sandy Kemlow welcomed in the haggis before Burns’ Ode to the Haggis was read aloud.
After their meal, residents were entertained by the Somernotes male voice choir.
