Burglars broke into a home in Long Ashton last week.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has sent a warning to homeowners in the north of the district following this latest raid.

At some point overnight on October 14 and 15, burglars broke into the house in Orchard Road and stole a boiler, which was found dumped near the house.

There have been a number of similar break-ins in the area recently.

PC Martin Faithfull last week warned homeowners to be extra vigilant and keep possessions locked away as much as possible, despite burglaries being ‘relatively uncommon’ in North Somerset.

Anyone with information about the recent burglaries can call the police on 101.
