Military and sci-fi models draw crowds to Nailsea

The Bristol area branch of the British Model Soldier Society and South West Figure Modellers held its annual exhibition which attracted scores of enthusiasts from across the South West.

Members of 41 clubs exhibited their intricate models at the Bugle Call show, with military, fantasy and sci-fi displays.

Branch member Bob Orr said: "Numbers through the door were well up on last year and the competitions attracted 117 entries.

"There were a wide selection of models on display from aircraft and boats to military figures, fantasy and sci fi models."

There were also 16 trade stands on the day so collectors could pick up new kits.

Visitors watched modelling and painting demonstrations and took part in competitions on November 24.

Bugle Call 2020 will take place on November 22.
