A charity has found a new home for its Clevedon Day Care Centre.

Elm View Nursing Home, in Moor Lane, will house the Brunelcare initiative which has been running for more than 15 years.

It aims to provide a warm and welcoming place to meet new people and specialises in helping older people who feel isolated in their own homes.

The day care centre offers a range of activities from crafts to quizzes and is run by a team of skilled staff who run transport and offer up a two-course lunch each day.

Brunelcare’s day centre manager Maddy Norman said: “The lease on our previous venue was up, so this new partnership with Elm View has provided us with a fantastic new space from which to continue providing our valuable service to local people, in particular those living with dementia.”

Elm View home manager, Heather Squires, said it was the ‘perfect opportunity’ to build a new partnership.
