Bristol Airport has opened a new multi-faith quiet area in the departure lounge.

Situated between the central walkway and gates 32-34, the area provides passengers with a quiet space to reflect and pray away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

This quiet area for passengers, includes a compass indicating the direction of Mecca, as well as seating and soft furnishings.

Phil Holder, head of operational support, said: “We are delighted by this latest enhancement to the passenger facilities at Bristol Airport.

“We listened to feedback from travelling passengers and we often receive requests for a quiet area which is particularly challenging to provide in a noisy environment of a busy terminal building.

“The development and customer service team visited other airports and public locations to look at the most suitable design and space for passengers.”
