The show was hosted by Pill and District Gardening Club in St George’s Hall in Easton-in-Gordano under the chairmanship of Annie Morris.

A total of 25 people showed off their flower, plant, fruit and vegetable exhibits which Angela Dill from Hestercombe judged.

She said the standard of exhibits was ‘very high’.

Jim Sharp won the Most Points In Show award, Gerald Westwood won the Most Prize Money award, and Noel Ayling was presented with the President’s Choice Award for his double white dahlia.

The gardening club’s spokesman Mike James said: “Our congratulations go to all the winners, there was some really tough competition.

“To those who didn’t win anything this year, please keep trying.

“It comes down to the smallest attention to detail to make a difference between winning or second place.”
