A SECTION of a Nailsea bridleway has become more colourful and fragrant following the planting of wildflowers at the weekend.
The Transition Town Nailsea group were joined by ‘many cheerful residents’ who were happy to get their hands dirty to introduce native bee-friendly plants along part of the Golden Valley path.
Spokesman Pat Gilbert said: “When the hedgerows have grown up and thickened and wildflowers are established all along their bases it will be a lovely route that all residents can enjoy and will also be a rich habitat for birds and animals.”
The group hopes to return in the autumn to plant bulbs and more flowers.
