THE body of a 71-year-old man was discovered in a Clevedon river on Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the Blind Yeo river, which runs along the south of the town, where a body had been spotted. It has since been identified as that of Martin Higgins from Clevedon.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and police have handed the case to the coroner. An inquest into his death has since been opened and adjourned.
