Bluebell Walk success
HUNDREDS of people had the chance to walk through Wraxall’s bluebell woods while raise money for a good cause.
Children’s Hospice South West, which runs Charlton Farm in the village, held its first sponsored Bluebell Walk on May 15, and a staggering 500 people turned out to take part.
There were three different distances to choose from, making the event accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
Community fund-raiser Sophie Crossman said: “The bluebell woods by our hospice in Wraxall have long been loved by the families who visit us and we were so pleased to be offering this beautiful sponsored walk to help continue to raise funds to support these families.
“We had lots of dog walkers join us, families with young children and even a fancy dress bumble bee and a man in a tutu.”
At the end of the walk, participants were able to enjoy a country-style market selling food and drink as well as jewellery, plants and sweets.
