JUDGES of the South West in Bloom contest were given a guided tour of Portishead.
Volunteers had worked in to the night on Thursday to ensure the town looked it’s best for judges Terry Porter and Tom Sharples, who spent three hours viewing the town on Friday morning.
They visited a variety of sites from Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve to Rodmoor Gardens and Portishead Open Air Pool, admiring this year’s blooms which followed a red, yellow and orange hot colour theme.
Volunteers now eagerly await the South West in Bloom results which will be announced at a ceremony in Weston on September 20.
