BACKWELL School’s oldest student was presented with a special cake to celebrate his 90th birthday.
Dick Williams is one of 11 students attending a cookery course for retired men.
Dick’s fellow pupils baked a cake to celebrate his birthday and raised a glass to mark the occasion. Sandra Law has been teaching the course for three years, with three assistants from Backwell School.
The students learn to cook a range of simple, delicious dishes, as well as picking up some tips on how to eat healthily.
