Bikers will hold ride for Jock

PUBLISHED: 14:00 04 February 2015

A BIKER and father from Portishead will be remembered during a memorial ride on Sunday.

Motorbike enthusiasts will gather at 10am at the Argos car park in Wyndham Way before setting off at 10.30am on a route into Bristol and then to Clevedon’s seafront. Once there, they will meet at Five the Beach, in The Beach, for hot drinks and bacon sandwiches.

The event is being held in memory of David ‘Jock’ Loudon who died on February 19, 2008, following an accident on the Portbury Hundred.

It is put on each year to raise awareness of motorbikes to other motorists and also collect cash for The Rainbow Centre in Bristol which supports children and families affected by bereavement and life-threatening illness.
