BIKERS will gather in Portishead on Sunday to take part in a ride in memory of a motorbike enthusiast.

David Loudon, known to many as Jock, died in February 2008 following an accident on the A369 Portbury Hundred.

The 43-year-old was well-known in Portishead and the biking community.

In his memory, a rideout has been organised by his friends and family, including wife Kathryn Williams-Loudon.

Bikers will meet in the Argos car park off Wyndham Way from 10am and will begin the ride at 10.30am, going along the Portbury Hundred, into Bristol and ending at Clevedon’s seafront for a drink and bacon sandwich at Number Five The Beach.

A collection will be made in aid of the Bristol-based Rainbow Centre for children affected by cancer, life-threatening illness and bereavement.
