A BENCH has been installed overlooking the lake at Portishead Lake Grounds in memory of a popular animal lover.

Family, friends and dogs attended a short blessing at the lakeside to remember dog trainer Mandy Blake, who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.

Former Gordano School pupil Mandy, who was 47, ran the Best Behaved Dog Training School in Bristol Road and won the Scruffts dog show with her bearded collie cross Dylan in 2006.

A tree was also planted at the Lake Grounds in her memory.
