n BOXES packed with food have been donated to Clevedon Foodbank by generous youngsters in the town.

Members of 2nd Clevedon Beavers collected the donations as part of their work for their friendship challenge badge, which involves learning about and helping the community around them.

The beavers also learnt about the importance of charities and how the food helps people who struggle to afford food in a time of crisis.

Sue Rossiter, who visited the beavers to collect the boxes for the foodbank at Hither Green Industrial Estate, said: “All the beavers showed real interest and asked great questions. We are very grateful for all the kind donations.”
