ARMED soldiers were spotted in Clevedon during filming for a new BBC production.
Cast and crew were based at Shopland Sawmills in Old Street throughout October 6 while they filmed scenes for The Last Heroes of D-Day – a two-part programme focused on the most dramatic military operation in history.
During the filming, scenes were re-enacted including of the troops preparing for their operation and of them travelling to the shores of Normandy.
During the day, the Aspey family, who live nearby, was given the chance to meet some of those involved and take a look behind the scenes. Pictured is Kezia Aspey with some of the cast from the shoot.
