A PIECE of Banksy-style artwork that appeared in Portishead was created by the same artist who has been responsible for a number of similar works springing up around Weston in recent months.
His identity remains a secret, but he has spoken to the Times to offer some insight into his work.
He said: “I’ve been really pleased with the public reaction, which has been positive, and people in Portishead have been divided on whether it’s a Banksy.
“I do street art for fun. Am I inspired by Banksy? Of course. But I’m not trying to be the next Banksy, I just want to make people think.
“There is bigger and better in the pipeline.”
