A musical duo from North Somerset have released their third album.

Nick Nivotni, aged 52, from Nailsea and John Emery, aged 46, from Axbridge have released There Are Vampires which is now available to stream online.

The pair, who met 30 years ago, have already released two albums under different band names.

Their latest creation has been described as a ‘lo-fi alternative country folk offering, with sharp moments of pop and rich textures of harmonica’.

The musicians’ main claim to fame is supporting the Manic Street Preachers and they have also performed at a number of festivals.

They are now hoping to inspire young people who are trying to break into the music industry.

Nick, who plays the harmonica, bass and acoustic guitar, said: “Our music is free to download or stream. We’re keen to show younger people there are ways they can get into music without spending a fortune.

“John writes some great material which is always diverse and interesting and he always wants to try something different.”

John describes his new material as being ‘salvaged fragments of life, people, roads once travelled, faces’.

Their music is available on YouTube and Bandcamp websites.
