Members of Backwell Village Club chose to support CLIC Sargent this year to help young cancer patients and their families.

The club hosted the Backwell Beer and Cider Festival which saw 200 people attend, raising more than £2,000. Members also enjoyed a performance from Neil Diamond tribute artist Forever Diamond.

Club president, John Merriman, said: “Backwell Village Club takes very seriously raising funds for wonderful organisations like CLIC Sargent.”

Rachel Webster, from CLIC Sargent, added: “We are so grateful to all members and guests of the Backwell Village Club who helped raise this terrific amount.

“The kindness of this support means families facing a devastating cancer diagnosis can receive care from our teams who will step in, ready to help, support and guide.”
