A FLIGHT lieutenant from Clevedon has been presented with a certificate for his contribution to the youth of Somerset.
John Radford, the commanding office of 2467 (Nailsea) squadron, received the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset Certificate of Meritorious Service for his work with the squadron and youngsters in the area.
He has served as the commanding officer at Nailsea for over eight years and has provided opportunities for cadets including expeditions to Poland and annual adventure training camps in Jersey.
He will now manage the move in early 2013 to the new joint cadet unit at Greenfield Crescent.
He was presented with the award by Lady Gass at the Bishop’s Palace in Wells.
