AN ANIMAL sanctuary has received a national award for the work it does.
Barrow Gurney’s Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary picked up a Burgess Wetnose Animal Rescue award in London this week.
Katie Love, who collected the award along with founder, Pauline Leeson, said: “To have the work of our volunteers recognised at such a big event is amazing.
“Everyone who helps the sanctuary deserves this award as a huge thank you.”
Holly Hedge volunteers were praised for the way they care for the animals and the amount of time they spend with them.
