A Portishead nursery has linked up with the Avon Wildlife Trust to teach its children about nature.

Stationhouse Nursery in Station Road has borrowed a movie-making kit from the trust to allow the infants to film any wildlife they discovered while exploring Portishead Lake Grounds.

Youngsters were also given a book to inform them of what species to look out for at various times of the year.

The trust then helped the nursery team to create a mini-beast house in the meadow, which children also use to grow their own herbs and vegetables.
