Avon and Somerset Police Male Voice Choir is looking for new members.

A free rehearsal is taking place at The Link, in Nailsea School, Mizzymead Road, on January 28 from 6.45-9.30pm and people are invited to pop in to find out more.

The choir comprises serving and retired police officers, support staff and the special constabulary along with a few invited guest singers.

The group is renowned for its top performances and has won numerous cups and certificates at choral competitions.

Under the professional leadership of musical director Marysia Gorska-Saj and accompanist Alison Howell, the choir has developed an extensive repertoire, from classical male choral music, operatic choruses and songs of stage and film musicals to arrangements of popular songs.

The group rehearses on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in the training school in the police headqarters, in Valley Road, Portishead.
