Foodies can win the chance to dine at The Pig-near Bath in support of a children’s charity in Wraxall.

The auction winner will enjoy a private three-course meal for 18 people.The auction winner will enjoy a private three-course meal for 18 people.

The award-winning restaurant and hotel is holding an online auction giving 18 people the chance to dine in its stunning setting at Hunstrete House in Pensford.

The winners will be given a private room where they can feast on a three-course dinner with wine.

The Pig-near Bath has offered the prize to support Children's Hospice South West's new foodie fundraiser Cook Eat Give.

Bids are now being taken via the charity's eBay page at www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274051481544, with bids starting at £800.

The value of the experience is estimated at around £1,400 and the auction will end at 8.45am on Monday.

Steff Jones, general manager at The Pig-near Bath, said: "The Pig Hotels are all about family and at The Pig-near Bath we are very proud to support Children's Hospice South West and all of the amazing work that they do for families.

"Cook Eat Give is a fun way to support the charity and we are delighted to be able to do our bit to help - family feast style."

CHSW has launched a new fundraiser to support its vital work and to celebrate family mealtimes.

The charity is asking supporters to host a Cook Eat Give event for friends and family in October and ask guests to make a donation in return.

Karen Mathie, Corporate Fundraiser at CHSW said: "We often hear the families we support talk about how they cherish the chance to sit down and eat together - something they find difficult at home due to the complex medical needs of their child.

"We are very grateful to The Pig-near Bath for donating such a wonderful experience which will raise vital funds for CHSW."
