A pair of artists have brought their artwork to Clevedon’s Curzon cinema.

Bristol-based theatre designer Laura McEwen and graphic designer Dominic Mallin combined their skills to create 3D, mixed-media collages of buildings and landmarks from a bygone era.

The pair photographed the cinema from all angles and experimented with the images to develop a final three pieces.

The results are striking 3D collage artworks full of character, history and personality which are on display in the cinema’s foyer.

The artists have said the work will be on sale and 20 per cent of the price will go back into the Curzon.

Mr Mallin said: “The cinema has always caught our eye. The neon-type sign is just one of many striking features.

“Bold red brick and paintwork, as well as the damage to the doorway from a World War Two bomb, add to the story of this Clevedon building.”
