St Andrew’s Art exhibition attracted large crowds over the three days and the money raised will be donated to Nailsea Disability Initiative and Parkinson’s UK.

Jill Hobday who helped to organise the event, said: “This was the best result for five years with increased picture sales and visitors.

“There was a tremendous buzz at the preview evening with a large crowd attending.

“Two stunning pictures donated by Somerset artists, Ann Baber and Anita Pegler boosted the fundraising.

“The huge sum raised made the hard work involved in organising this enjoyable village event worthwhile and thanks are extended to everyone who attended and helped in so many ways.”

It was the 29th exhibition for St Andrew’s Art Group and members are now planning their 30th.
