A CLEVEDON man has been arrested after two women were struck by a car in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened at about 3.30am in Davis Lane, near to Vibe nightclub at Clevedon Town Football Club.
The women received only minor injuries but the driver of the car did not stop.
Later that morning, a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following a road traffic collision, drink driving and dangerous driving.
He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
