THE apple juice was flowing when more than 30 people in Nailsea got busy washing, chopping and pressing apples.

The surplus fruits were made into apple juice by members of Transition Town Nailsea during Apple Day on October 2.

Sally Tarr said: “This is a celebration of our local heritage and a great way to use up this year’s bumper crop of apples.

“We now hope to open Apply Day to everyone in Nailsea next year and make it a really fun community event for the autumn.”
