An enchanting evening of magic
PUBLISHED: 09:45 16 February 2015
Magic was in the air around North Somerset last week as witches and wizards came together to celebrate all things Harry Potter.
The first ever national Harry Potter Book Night saw libraries including Clevedon and Yatton and St Katherine’s School in Pill invite children aged seven to 11 to attend and share their love of the books.
Many children went to the events dressed as their favourite characters and took part in games, activities and readings with free refreshments.
Sophia Richards, community librarian, said: “The Harry Potter books have introduced children to reading for pleasure for many years and it was great to share the magic with a generation of new readers.”
