A PORTISHEAD schoolboy had the time of his life after being selected as the mascot for Bristol City FC in their game against Watford earlier this month.
George Ridge, a pupil at St Peter’s Primary School, met all the players and joined them on the pitch for a warm up before for the match.
The eight-year-old then took his place in the tunnel alongside captain Cole Skuse, before leading the team out on to the pitch and shaking hands with members of the Watford team.
The city players presented George with a shirt signed by them all.
At half time, George’s six-year-old sister Katie was presented with a cap by club chairman Steve Lansdown for attending her first game.
George said: “I had a lovely time and enjoyed every minute. It was all great apart from the score.”
