A 67-year-old event rider from North Somerset is launching a fundraising campaign to help her fulfil one final dream.
Sandra Wharton hopes to compete alongside her horse Pinkie at the Costwold Cup three-day eventing championship after what she describes as their "best season we have ever had so far this year", having placed 23rd out of 50 qualifiers.
Ms Wharton has been with Pinkie for seven years and competes at 90cm in amateur eventing.
She believes it may soon be time to retire from riding and hopes to rehome Pinkie so she can continue doing what she loves.
Ms Wharton said: "I am asking for help so Pinkie and I can take part in this very special final event we have worked so hard to qualify for, and so I can ensure her future is handled with the care she deserves.

"I feel that this would be a really fantastic way to complete my time as an amateur event rider."
To help raise the funds needed to compete, she has launched a prize draw offering the chance to win a custom portrait of a beloved pet or a print of her artwork.
This can be entered at crowdfunder.co.uk/p/helpsandrapinkiefinishtheirfinalseason.
Entries cost £5 each or three for £10.
She said: "Any help, large or small, would mean more than I can say."
There are less than two weeks remaining to enter the draw.
