A MAN who was causing a "disturbance" on Nailsea High Street has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Police were called to a "public order incident" at around 5.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 23).
A 28-year-old man, who currently remains in custody, was arrested.
According to ABV Solicitors, "you will be deemed guilty of affray if you use, or threaten to use, unlawful violence towards someone else, which would cause that person to fear for their safety."
A spokesperson from the Avon and Somerset Police force said: "Shortly after 5.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 23), we were called to a public order incident in Nailsea High Street due to a man causing a disturbance.
"Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of affray. He remains in custody at this time."
