A SUPERMARKET worker from Nailsea nearly slept through the news that she had won a £19k prize.

Three days before her 26th birthday, Elisa, a Daily Draws Competition winner, won a Dacia Spring Extreme worth £16,995 and a £2,000 cash prize.

The Dacia Spring Extreme features a £25kWh battery, 64bhp and top speed of 78mph.

This was courtesy of online competition specialist BOTB.

Elisa, who is a video gaming enthusiast, nearly missed the call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams because she was having a lie-in.

Luckily, BOTB managed to get a neighbour and previous competition winner to knock on Elisa's door.

Elisa said that the prize was the "best present ever."

She said: “It feels amazing to have won and I’m so glad they finally got hold of me.

“Me and my partner are big gamers and a couple of night owls.

“With it happening three days before my birthday, it makes it that bit extra special and this has got to be my best present ever.

“I never thought I would win, but you’ve got to be in it to win it.”

Tesco worker Elisa went on to say that, although she likes the look of the prize car, she was considering taking the cash alternative.

Elisa added: “I’ve only been driving for three months, and I just love little cars.

“I really like the look of this one, but I’m not sure if I can see myself driving around in such a fancy car.

“I feel the smart choice would be to take the money and once the news has sunk in, and I get my head together, I’ll think about what I might do with it.”

Christian said: “I’m so glad we finally managed to get hold of Elisa and share with her the fantastic news, particularly with her birthday just around the corner.

“It is a fantastic, fun and nippy little car, and I’m sure she’s going to love driving it if she decides to take it over the cash alternative.”

Every week, BOTB, which was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, gives away a dream car as well as a lifestyle prize.
