THE developer which runs The Pottery in Clevedon has scooped a prestigious customer satisfaction award.

McCarthy Stone won the Five Star rating by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for its Clevedon Retirement Living Plus development.

The company received a 93.75 per cent customer satisfaction score following a HBF survey.

Conducted annually, 100,000 homeowners nationwide are interviewed as part of the HBF survey, which is used to determine the best in the business.

To achieve a Five Star rating, more than 90 per cent of customers need to recommend a company to a friend.

Verity McKay, divisional marketing manager at McCarthy Stone, said: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded the Full Five stars at The Pottery.

"This is proof of our long-standing commitment to developing welcoming and friendly communities which meet the highest standards and help our homeowners live life to the fullest.

“The welfare and happiness of our homeowners is at the heart of everything we do, and we continually strive to ensure they always receive the very best experience throughout their journey with us, from the reservation stage right through to moving and settling in.

"We want to express our gratitude to all the team at The Pottery for always going the extra mile to provide an exceptional living experience for our residents; the award is a true testament to their hard work and diligence.”

The Pottery is designed to meet the specific needs of people aged over 70.

The development consists of one and two-bedroom retirement apartments, all of which are complete with modern, state-of-the-art facilities.

Residents are encouraged to develop friendships at the spacious communal lounge, hotel-style guest suite, an on-site bistro serving freshly prepared meals daily and well-maintained gardens.

An Estate Team is on hand to provide support at all hours. There are also 24-hour emergency call points, intruder alarms, and door video entry systems to help keep residents safe.

Nevertheless, residents can still maintain their independence. The McCarthy Stone website explains further: "Situated in an attractive coastal town of Clevedon, this Retirement Living Plus development will offer you the opportunity to maintain your independence in a home you own, while receiving that little extra care and support you need.

"Within this quaint seaside town in Somerset, you'll find a whole host of amenities and facilities within a picture-postcard setting."

Purchase prices for a one and two-bedroom retirement home at The Pottery start from £280,000 and £475,000 respectively.
