A defibrillator has been unveiled by Debs Wiltshire on Friday March 22 in memory of her husband, David Wiltshire.
David was a musician from Portishead, along with likeminded people from Portishead, Clevedon, Nailsea, Backwell, Yatton and Tickenham.
He formed a ukulele band called Ukebox, which is affiliated with Nailsea Shedders.
The band's purpose was to have fun, play music and raise money for charity, with David being the musical director.
Unfortunately, David had a short illness with an unknown heart problem and after retiring, sadly and unexpectedly passed away.
It was decided that a fitting legacy for David would be to raise money for a defibrillator in honour of his work for local charities.
This way he could still support the local communities he loved.
Ukebox would like to thank David for his vision and are determined to carry on doing good work and spreading music.
