An evening of musical entertainment at Clevedon Court helped raise £1,500 for a local charity.

The fundraiser took place on March 16 with compositions ranging from Mozart to George Gershwin performed by The Court Ensemble.

Members, Maretha Broadbent, Julia Elton, Rebecca Hall, Ruth Maddock, and Jennie Willy, followed their performance with a supper of canapés and drinks.

All funds raised from the event support Andrew House, a part of the local charity Changing Lives in Clevedon.

The organisation assists men who have experienced trauma and found themselves battling addiction.

Residents at Andrew House are provided an 18-month stay, during which they are helped to prepare for a return to society.

Jess Crossley manages the work at Andrew House, along with other staff, trustees, and committed volunteers.

The £1,500 raised will typically be utilised to fund courses, counselling groups and other opportunities for the men.

Alternately, Changing Lives has other ways to contribute.

These include purchasing items from its retail outlets, enlisting its dedicated house clearance team, or disposing of bulky waste in cooperation with North Somerset Council.

Volunteers are always welcome, with chances to help in many ways, including at their monthly donation day on the first Saturday of each month.
