A Mother's Day raffle raised more than £150 for a cancer charity.

The event, on March 10, was organised by Tickenham's Carriages Cafe and generated a total of £175 for Cancer Research UK. This was match funded by the cafe for a total of £350.

Maureen Smith of Clevedon was the lucky winner, with the draw taking place at 4pm.

Each visiting mum received a primrose plant, a thoughtful touch from the cafe.

Carriages Cafe serves breakfast rfom 9am to 11am, lunch from midday to 3pm, and light afternoon bites until 4pm at the Garden Park, Garden Centre, Tickenham, Clevedon.
