A free day for residents to prioritise their mental, emotional and physical health is coming to Portishead.

The Spring into Wellbeing Day is an initiative between Portishead Lions, Beacon Hub and Portishead Town Council.

It is scheduled to take place on March 2 from 10am to 4pm, and is an evolution of the previous year's successful gathering.

Activities will span across various locations in Portishead such as Somerset Hall, the Beacon Hub, the Folk Hall, and the library, with over 45 exhibitors due to participate.

Attendees can expect taster sessions, workshops, crafts and expert wellness advice.

Added attractions include refreshments, music, and prize draws all throughout the day.

One particularly notable feature of this health-focused day is the presence of on-site phlebotomists.

They will offer a wide range of blood health checks, covering important health aspects like prostate health, cholesterol levels, and kidney function.

Residents can book their spot online for a free test and have the option to take advantage of additional tests at £28 per test.

Moreover, the event will provide access to alternative therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and workshops from highly-regarded organisations including Portishead Parent, North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together, Now Hear This Music, and the Mindful Parenting and Community Project.
