A NAILSEA care home has appointed a new manager.

Jessica Hawker has been named as the new manager of Argentum Lodge, based on Silver Street.

Jessica, who has worked for over 15 years within the care sector, has been acknowledged through a number of industry awards including the Dementia Carer of the Year Award at The South West Great British Care Awards and Care Team of the Year at the South West Care Awards.

The previous care home that Jessica managed was also awarded the Gold Standards Framework for end-of-life care.

Jessica, who started working in the care industry at age 18, has said that she is looking forward to managing a thriving and successful workforce of over 60 people, as well as providing outstanding care to patients.

Jessica said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to be Argentum Lodge’s new care home manager.

"It is a warm and welcoming home where residents are happy and well-looked after.  
 
“I am committed to ensuring that all residents are provided with first class care that is truly holistic and person-centred.

"Residents at Argentum Lodge will be treated with dignity and respect and our goal is to provide the best quality of life possible for each individual.”
