ON New Year's Day, Clevedon residents braved the cold in the annual New Year's Day Dip.
Residents kicked off 2024 by swimming in Clevedon's Marine Lake, and, despite the chilly weather, the annual tradition had a good turnout.
Highbridge's Secret World Wildlife Rescue urged people to take part and raise money to help fund its vital work.
Posting on Facebook before the event, a spokesperson from the charity said: "It’s the perfect way to wake yourself up after the excesses of the festive period and a great way to help sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.
"We’ve got a couple of options available:
"Sign up for free and raise sponsorship money. No minimum amount, just do your best!
"Or pay a £5 registration fee to take part.
"Either way, registration is essential so we can keep you updated about the event."
