CLEVEDON'S Ladye Bay has reopened after being impacted by a small landslide last week.

The area now features new signage warning people of the danger of falling rocks. Visitors are also being urged to keep away from the cliff edges and the cliff base due to coastal erosion, which is "normal" along the North Somerset coast.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the Nature and Climate North Somerset team said: "Ladye Bay beach has reopened today (Friday December 15) as work has been completed to make the area safe following a small landslide last week.

"New signage is also now in place warning people of the danger of falling rocks.

"Thank you for your understanding while we carried out this essential work.

"This type of coastal erosion is normal for this part of the coast in North Somerset.

"Anyone visiting the coast should keep away from cliff edges and the base of cliffs due to continued erosion."
