PORTISHEAD will be transformed into a festive wonderland tonight (Monday, November 27) with its Christmas lights switch-on.
The event, which starts at 6.15pm, will feature dazzling lights and fireworks.
The High Street will be closed from 5pm to all vehicles, a diversion will be in place.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from Portishead Town Council said: "Today is Portishead Christmas Lights Switch On! We can't wait!
"Event start time - 6:15pm.
"Lights on and fireworks - 6:45pm.
"High Street closed to all vehicles and diversion in place from 5pm.
"If you would like to donate towards the Portishead Christmas Lights please use this link below - https://portisheadchristmaslights.co.uk/why-donate-to-us-%3F.
"We advise to leave your pet at home due to large crowds and the fireworks.
"The fireworks will be set off from 6:45pm.
"Any lost children, please go to Goodman & Lilley, the stage or any of our team in Orange HIVIZ jackets."
