NORTH Somerset Council has revealed its intent to engage with residents to help shape its action plan and budget for the next four years.

In light of recent local elections, the council leadership has defined its core objectives, which hinge on their commitment to being open, fair, and green.

The leadership hopes to deliver on the set ambitions through a detailed action plan that will deliver on commitments under each priority.

This action plan, together with the finalised Corporate Plan for 2024-2028, is to be shared with the community for their feedback.

North Somerset Times: North Somerset Council is looking to invest more money to maximise return.

Council Leader Mike Bell stated: "We have identified a number of commitments under each ambition and action plan for how we will deliver these.

"We now have a draft Corporate Plan 2024-2028, and a supporting action plan, to share with you and would like your views."

The council is calling for residents' insights on its Medium-term Financial Plan, which is the budget that supports the Corporate Plan.

Over the coming months, North Somerset residents will have the chance to express their views and ask questions about the Corporate Plan and budget during a series of public engagement sessions.

All meetings will take place between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, with the first scheduled on November 27 at Hangstone Pavillion, Yatton.

Ensuing meetings are at locations including Tithe Barn, Nailsea, Castlewood, Clevedon, Old Town Hall, Weston, and at Folk Hall, Portishead.

No booking is needed in order to attend these consultations.

Residents will also have the chance to interact with executive members during mobile library events throughout December.

These sessions present a golden opportunity for residents to engage with council members and offer valuable insights into the emerging plan and budget.

A council spokesperson continued: "Our council delivers consistently good services and value for money to support our community,"

Residents will have 47 days from November 23 to express their views on the proposed plans and budget.

A draft of the 2024-2028 Corporate Plan, its supporting action plan and other relevant information are available on the North Somerset Council website.

Participants can also seek answers to any questions at their local library or through the council's social media channels.
