Revving up the festive spirit, hundreds of motorbiking Santas will rally through Bristol to raise funds for a local children's hospice.

The event, organized in support of Children’s Hospice South West(CHSW), will occur on December 2.

The rally will pass through various spots in Bristol starting from Winterbourne Academy at 10.30am before reaching its final destination at the CHSW’s Charlton Farm children’s hospice in Wraxall.

During the fundraiser, the riders will take a short break at the Willowbrook Centre in Bradley Stoke around 12.45pm.

There, CHSW staffers will welcome members of the public to join the viewing point and cheer on the bikers.

North Somerset Times: Dozens of Santas will be motorbiking to fundraise for a local children's hospice

An annual tradition, 'Santas on a Bike' has over the years generated thousands of pounds for CHSW while brightening up the streets of the South West.

The organisers said: "We’re expecting dozens of Santas, riding bikes covered in festive decorations this year and we cannot wait."

They sincerely urged people to "spread the word, invite your friends and support your local children’s hospice – let’s make this the biggest and best year ever."

Additionally, they affirmed that all types of bikes are welcome, promising a well-coordinated ride: "The ride is fully L-plate friendly.

"Don’t worry if you’ve not attended a group ride before, you’ll be made very welcome.

"The route will be fully marshalled so you won't get lost."

Lucie Perryman, Area Fundraiser for CHSW, expressed her gratitude and excitement: "We are really looking forward to seeing the Santas on a Bike again this year and want to say a huge thank you to the event organisers and the riders for all the work that goes into making this happen."

She added, "This is such a highlight in our festive calendar at Charlton Farm, the families staying love seeing all of the Santas arriving, and the money raised helps the charity to continue to provide vital care and support to local families when they need it most."
