PLANS have been submitted to turn a former florist unit into a residential dwelling.

The former Vanda Flowers unit can be found on 42A Milton Road.

The planning and design statement for application, which was validated by the council on Tuesday, November 7, reads: "This site currently consists of a retail unit, with various rear rooms used for storage and offices.

"There is also an attached garage, currently used for storage as the garage is not an adequate size for vehicular use. The garage was rebuilt around 1990.

"There is a hardstanding area to the west of the site that is used for parking. It has the provision for one vehicle.

"Due to lower footfall and customer parking this site is not as desirable for a retail unit as it may have been in the past. The previous tenants have now moved their operation to Milton High Street, to be set within a cluster of other commercial outlets."

The application also explains how, since being vacated, the building has been repeatedly vandalised.

Here are the other plans submitted this week (from Monday, November 6).
