A WOMAN working in Portishead has had her efforts celebrated in the Women's Business Awards.

The award ceremony was held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday, October 11.

Rachel Nash, from Smart Office Support, won the Customer Excellence Award, which celebrates individuals who excel in customer service. The award was based on customer feedback and satisfaction.

Smart Office Support provides virtual PA services to small business owners and solo entrepreneurs. Rachel supports a range of clients from charities to businesses to parish councils.

One of Rachel's clients, a parish councillor, said: "Our parish council was a complete mess and not functioning after our previous clerk left.

"We were indeed lucky to find Rachel who joined us as clerk and quickly pulled us out of a deep hole and got us back into shape and functioning.

"She was a vigorous blast of humour and fresh air. We now have a happy and smoothly running council again. I doubt whether anyone else could have done a better job.”

Andrea, who works in PR, added: “Rachel is an excellent PA for me - I have a very tight and intense schedule and Rachel is quick, careful and efficient.

"She deals promptly and politely with my clients and potential clients. Her care for my business is outstanding. I have many clients who are on NDAs and I trust Rachel completely. I couldn't wish for better support.”

Paul, a H&S consultant, concluded: “I have never worked with a business owner that is so dedicated to great customer service.

"I have been a client for over 18 months and still receive the same professional and friendly service as I did right at the start. Rachel is organised, communicates at every stage of the work, and is committed to providing just what my business needs.

"So much so, I now see Rachel as part of my team. I trust her to work directly with my clients, without going through me, as I know that she will look after my customers with the same care as she does looking after my business.

"The ethos and commitment to customer care and great service runs right through her business as all of her team display.”
